I add Death Note on top of my previous list. I also liked the Witchblade anime.

Akira Toriyama is rolling in his grave ... Oh, wait he is still alive (Won't be after he sees the movie, though)

I think of it that I don't like it
I am pretty hard attracted to animes, that are not visually good to me
Even though One Piece is visaully pretty bad IMO, its at least original, it surely does not look like classic anime...and for that I must at least pay respect.

Great adventure. Has lots of funny moments and action. Probably not the one of the best animes but one of the most entertaining ones.
The series is too long for me to download (over 300 episodes).

I love One Piece. I remember when I first laid eyes on it back in 2003 when U.S. Jump arrived, I thought, "What's with these drawings? I could draw better than that!" But as I read more and more of it, my opinion of it changed quickly. I love how distincive Oda's art style is in the sea of stereotypical art I HATE SO MUCH. Yeah, it's a bit odd and cartoony visually, but sometimes you just need to rest your eyes on something that brings you back to the days of your childhood. And that's what One Piece does for me. I'm a "manga-ka hopeful", so to speak, and I'm still trying to find my own distinctive art style. And I'll tell ya right now, it ain't easy for me.
I think of One Piece as Dragon Ball's successor. In terms of pure adventure seen in the early days of Dragon Ball, One Piece is holding it down. Y'gotta give Eiichiro Oda his props though, I mean, his manga is longer than our beloved Dragon Ball AND it's still running to this day, not to mention this is his first serialized manga at that! I got mad respect for Eiichiro Oda. I can only wish I can obtain status like his, or any other manga-ka masters, when I finally enter the world of comics professionally.
I just think once One Piece ends, Oda will be burnt out like Toriyama was after finishing Dragon Ball. Wonder what he plans on doing after that, although I'm pretty sure he hasn't given it much thought.
